Still images and a manuscript map pertaining to Ted T. Boquist, a Redgranite, Wisconsin resident who served with the 1st Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War. The collection is primarily made up of photographs and slides taken by Boquist during his service in the Army. Photographs include images taken during his training at Fort Knox (Kentucky) and Fort Benning (Georgia), transportation to Vietnam, and his time in country. Photographs from Vietnam depict daily activities around base camp, images of various aircraft and helicopters, socializing with fellow soldiers, a special forces camp, and local scenes and residents. The slides also include images similar to the photographs, but also document R&R in Hong Kong, Boquist's return home, and additional training at Fort Bragg (North Carolina). The manuscript map is of Vietnam and was taken from an issue of "Stars and Stripes." It includes notes written by Boquist pertaining to his time in Vietnam and was sent home to his parents. Boquist went through basic training in 1964 and was sent to Vietnam in 1965. After returning to the United States, he was attached to the 82nd Airborne Division before leaving service in 1967. Boquist returned to Wisconsin after his service and settled in Minoqua, Wisconsin.
